  3. AISI 4130 Aircraft Steel (AMS 6345 / AMS 6346 / AMS 6350)

Alloy 4130 (AISI 4130) is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel. Alloy 4130 is a widely used Aircraft Steel due to its weldability, ease of fabrication and mild hardenability. The hardenability and weldability of Alloy 4130 are considered equivalent to 8630 (MIL-S-6250) .

  4. AISI 4130 Steel, 25CrMo4, 1.7218, 708A25, SCM430 ...

AISI 4130 steel is usually supplied as round bar commonly in the hardened and tempered condition. AISI/SAE 4130 steel grade is a versatile alloy with good atmospheric corrosion resistance and reasonable strength up to around 315º C (600º F). It shows good overall combinations of strength, toughness and fatigue strength.

Feb 10, 2012 · Permalink Reply by Chris Aysen on February 10, 2012 at 8:47am. William - Normalizing is an air cool down (room temp.) process. Slowly cooling the steel (after heating beyond the critical point) would produce an annealed (softer [relative term]) product. You would be OK using 4130 for the application, normalized or not.

  12. 4130 CD Normalized - pmtsco.com

PACIFIC 4130 is a chromium-molybdenum low alloy steel with lower carbon than the more popular 4140. Because of lower carbon content, it has better weldability but lower hardenability (response to hardening). Maximum achievable hardness by furnace hardening is approximately 52 HRC. 4130 can be hardened by either water or oil quenching.

  13. AISI 4130 (E4130) per AMS 6348 - Bars - benedict-miller.com

4130 steel bars are a chromaloy (Chrome and Moly rich) aircraft quality alloy metal. Ideal for general use when welding and moderate tensile properties are required. Our 4130 Alloy Steel carries the term "Aircraft Quality" (AQ) which means it is generally acceptable for use in aircraft parts, but still subject to magnetic particle inspection after machining.

Alloy Steel Distributor. Steel is considered to be an alloy if the maximum alloying element content within the steel surpasses at least one of the following limits:1.65% Manganese,0.6% Copper or 0.6% SiliconSome results are removed in response to a notice of local law requirement.
